Seems we’re living quite the good life!

Coming in at number 14, it seems we have hit a pretty good balance between work and life this year, despite the numerous challenges the world has faced.
Kisi’s study ranked 50 cities under four sections: Work Intensity, Society and Institutions, City Liveability and Covid-19. Each have their own sub-sections.
We managed to pip Toronto, Denver and San Diego to this spot, who came in just behind us. However, we were narrowly beaten by Vancouver, Amsterdam and Ottawa, which took positions 13, 12 and 11, respectively.
Oslo took the top spot, leading as an example to the rest. The remainder of the top five was completed by Helsinki, Copenhagen, Hamburg and Berlin. Seoul came bottom of the 50 cities, with Milan, Budapest, Kuala Lumpur and Buenos Aires also making up the list’s end. Kisi also named Hong Kong, Singapore, Seoul, Kuala Lumpur and Tokyo as the top five most overworked cities of 2020.
Auckland scored particularly well in city liveability and Covid-19 sections, especially in the categories of City Safety and Stress, and projected unemployment. It scored lower than some in a few work intensity categories, such as minimum vacation days and paid parental leave.
