A glorious new Italian eatery has popped up at Pacifica Laneway in Auckland. DELI Di Bossi is an Italian deli in the CBD and the first concept opened by the brand alongside a fine-dining restaurant and bar launching in October.
THE SPACE
The small vibrant space is complete with leather couches, round marble tables, Italian signs and exposed brick walls. Indeed, it aims to transport customers to the heart of Italy for a unique dining experience.
Wonderfully, DELI di Bossi offers some creations that will be available in the restaurant later this year. Expect irresistible grilled sandwiches, cured meats, Italian cheeses, salads, fresh pastas and breads, Italian street food bites and plenty more.
THE FOOD
Menu highlights include Cicchetti snacks such as the crowd-pleasing Mortadella sandwich with fresh ricotta, sausage, melted mozzarella and mushroom, Al Prosciutto consisting of prosciutto and ricotta crème, authentic calzone and pizzas, to name a few.
Dessert lovers will enjoy the delicious cannoli and portions of tiramisu if you’re looking for something sweet on the-go. Equally, the hearty coffee is sure to boost your energy.
Bossi in Auckland was curated by owner Jenna Carter. The brand is inspired by her Italian heritage with traditional recipes passed down through generations and every detail influenced by important people and experiences in her life.
Meanwhile, the kitchen is helmed by passionate Executive Chef Shaun Dowling and Sous Chef Mauro Tavares, who has a Sicilian heritage. Therefore, you know you’ll treated to the most authentic Italian food with a twist.
Google users have rated it 5-stars already with a customer stating it’s a great place for breakfast and brunches. Similarly, another said the food ”is the freshest and most authentic Italian deli food” he had experienced in all of New Zealand.
Definitely, you need to give Bossi in Auckland a try this weekend.
