This sounds very intriguing…
Travel is, to put it lightly, very topsy-turvy this year. Because of Covid-19, New Zealanders can’t go abroad like we’re usually permitted to. [Featured Image: Daniel Norris, Unsplash].
But, Air New Zealand has a fun little proposition for those that fancy a little in house adventure. They’re offering “Mystery Breaks” around the country, with flights running to random spots in the country many won’t have explored yet.
The coolest part? Oh, that’s just the not knowing where you’re going until two days before taking off! It’s a lucky dip of sorts, but chances are you’ll always get to explore one of the many beautiful gems this country has to offer. When booking, you can nominate one place you’d rather not go to, then Air New Zealand will work its magic.
The Mystery Breaks tours has a few different options for you, depending on how you’d prefer your travel experience to be.
Firstly, there’s the “Great Mystery Break”. This is the cheapest deal, sitting at $599 per-person. You’ll get return Air-New Zealand flights with luggage, two nights at a 3-4-star Accor hotel with breakfast and return airport transfers.
For an extra $100-per-person, the “Deluxe Mystery Break” bumps your hotel to a 4-4.5-star, and offers you a rental car for the full duration of your stay. Or, if you’re going all in, you could opt for the “Luxury Mystery Break”. This will set you back $1,629-per-person, but puts you up in a 5-star-hotel, with daily breakfast and dinner, plus the rental car for your stay.
If this sounds like something you’d like, you can also choose the option of purchasing a voucher and deciding the date later on. Plus, you can gift these vouchers to your loved ones!
