Prepare to indulge in a world of cultural diversity at this ten-day campaign in Mt Roskill War Memorial Park to celebrate over 60 diverse cultures that call Tamaki Makaurau home. Beginning on March 28, expect to see traditional dishes from around the world including Thailand, Cambodia, Russia, Spain and beyond. Past features have included Spanish Churros, Argentinian Wood-Fire Barbecue and Ethiopian Curry. As you gorge on plenty of nourishing samples, there will be live performances all day to keep you entertained. Excitingly, it is totally free of charge!

2. Takapuna Easter Carnival 2021

Another totally free and exciting event. This Saturday, March 27, grab your family and head down to this fun day out in Takapuna. Take part in the main event of the day, the adventurous Easter Egg Hunt. Be sure to register and collect your map from the info tent. Once set, you can follow the map, complete the cool activities at each location, then make your way back to claim your Easter goodies. If this alone isn´t enough to entice you, there will be performances by some incredible entertainers, as well as live music, games and other activities. Equally, there are over 150 places to drink and eat in Takapuna, so don´t forget to support the local businesses by splashing the cash on a delicious lunch or warm coffee. Wine lovers, this one is for you! For a little extra luxury, head to the exotic Mangere estate for a beautiful dinner, vineyard picnics and all the award-winning organic wine. 8. Rangitoto Island

Once there, immerse yourself in the natural beauty of Earth by climbing the summit and admiring the stunning Pohutukawa trees, native birds and breathtaking volcanic landscape with epic views of the mainland. Additionally, you can opt to visit the impressive Lava Caves or Rangitoto Shipwrecks, which is a graveyard of unwanted vessels from the 19th century. Just a two hour drive from the city, get ready to explore Alexander family sheep farm, the 12 acre set of the Hobbit Holes and learn how the movies were made.
