De Nada is a cosy new Mexican eatery, tequila and taco joint promising an unbeatable Mexican affair and social drinking in a quirky setting in Auckland.
The chic restaurant is located in Mt Eden and owned by the same folks of popular next-door hangout Scarlett Slimms & Lucky known for serving refreshing fish bowls.
Designed by Trish Cox Designs, the space is influenced by South America featuring an open bar, Mayan illustrations, pops of colours, plants, handprinted murals and cave paintings.
There’s a selection of home-style bites, shared platters, dinners, drooling Mexican desserts, allergy-friendly meals and more to indulge on. Certainly, an ideal restaurant for tasting different dishes while out with a big group.
Menu highlights include fresh Nachos topped with the likes of chorizo, tuna or veggies, Carne De Vaca, Tacos such as the crowd-pleasing pork ribs or the authentic tequila prawn cocktail, Chicken Chimichanga, vegetarian Quesadillas, to name a few.
Definitely, you can’t leave without trying a deliciously sinful Mexican dessert. For instance, the soul-satisfying caramel and dark chocolate Churros are leaving diners in a food coma. Otherwise, the Mexican Rice Pudding or 3-Milk Sponge Cake are must-try’s.
Compliment your meal with some refreshing margaritas or creative cocktail concoctions. Think yummy Strawberry Hibiscus Spritzer, Mezcal Mojito, Espresso Martinis and plenty more. Indeed, De Nada is the perfect cosy date idea, after work hangout or weekend treat in Auckland.
