This Spanish dessert is a fried dough with a fluffy inside and goes down heavenly paired with hot chocolate sauce. Indeed, there are plenty of popular go-to spots in Auckland, but you need to try the most authentic ones for the most pleasure. We think Toro Churros is a must-visit to level up your churros experience. This beautiful Italian dessert is made of ladyfingers dipped in coffee, layered with a mixture of eggs, sugar, mascarpone cheese and flavoured with cocoa. A slice of Tiramisu is the pick-me-up you need whenever you’re feeling blue. It just so happens that the folks over at Giapo Kitchen cater the most indulgent gluten-free portions that have rave reviews. Named ‘Mum’s Tiramisu‘, you can get a slice for yourself starting at $7.50 or feed a gang with a gigantic one for $58. Likewise, Giapo is also one of the best ice cream places in Auckland.

4. French Crรจme Brulรฉe
All the way from France, this traditional vanilla flavoured dessert is made of a rich custard base, topped with layers of caramel and often smothered with berries. And, where better to find this traditional French delicacy than at a French eatery. Expect this piece of heaven at Le Chef or Le Garde-Manager. Certainly, it’s the indulgence you need after a meal to finish the evening off right.

6. Banoffee Pie
Auckland is no stranger to this scrumptious English dessert made from bananas, thick caramel sauce, cream, butter and biscuits. The recipe has evolved worldwide to include plenty of OTT extras, from chocolate to coffee, and more. If you’re a Banoffee Pie lover then you must try the gluten-free Banoffee Pie at The Pie Piper. These guys are known for whipping up some of the best desserts in town, so you know you’ll find a winner.

Indeed, we had to include this traditional meringue-based dessert from our side of the globe. It’s a crisp crust and soft inside, normally topped with whipped cream and fruits. Pavlova enthusiasts and dessert lovers alike will be eager to taste the variety of Pavlova’s over at Winona Forever.
