It was due to take place on March 13-14.
Auckland Pasifika Festival, one of the best events in the city all year, has been postponed due to the continued Covid-19 restrictions.
It follows the news that Auckland will remain in Alert Level Two until at least March 12.
Pasifika Festival was originally set to be held at Western Spring Parks on March 13-14, but will now take place at Mt Smart Stadium on 10-11 April.
Auckland Mayor Phil Goff says he is happy that the festival can go ahead.
“Pasifika is a much-loved festival and an important celebration of Auckland’s vibrant Pacific cultures,” he says.
“I’m happy that Auckland Unlimited, our Pacific community leaders, organisers and festival stakeholders have been able to work together to confirm a new date. I look forward to attending Pasifika this year and enjoying all the performances, music, art, culture and heritage the festival offers.”
