2. Te Pā Harakeke
Enjoy an array of musical performances, delicious food trucks and plenty of arts and crafts at Takuti Square on June 24. Guests include DJ Will K kicking things off at 10am, meanwhile, look forward to the likes of WOW Girls and Jaya V throughout the day. Excellently, it’s free to enter.

As many Matariki stars are associated with food, it’s the perfect time to indulge on traditional meals with loved ones. Make Matariki-inspired dishes at home or head out to celebrate the occasion…the choice is yours. Additionally, The Snugs igloos returned for winter and offer the perfect place to sit among entertainment and catch light up displays.
5. Pakiata Matariki
This iconic attraction features a large projected light show on the Chief Post Office building in downtown Auckland from June 24 until July 16. Shows will take place every 15 minutes. Certainly, the perfect place to come together and learn about Matariki’s nine stars, history and culture.
6. Matakiri at SkyCity
SkyCity is offering a range of attractions to celebrate the occasion this weekend and beyond. Think a pop-up cube installation that’s perfect for instagrammable shots, 15-minute light display on Sky Tower, opportunities to win prizes and a DJ on decks, to name a few things.
7. Vector Lights
Another unmissable attraction for Matariki in Auckland. Admire a surreal six minute light show on Auckland Harbour Bridge. The display will light up the sky for all to see until July 9.
