Haku Vodka launched a traditional Japanese Festival of Tanabata at award-winning MASU restaurant in Auckland.
Currently, MASU is decked out in thousands of beautiful lighting displays with Fukinagashi streamers, bamboo wishing trees, colourful decorations and curated menus to create an immersive Japanese dining experience this winter.
Indeed, youâll feel transported to Japan as you write down your wish on a symbolic colourful paper known and place it on the bamboo tree upon arrival.

Diners can sip a range of unique Haku cocktails crafted by an award-winning mixologist. Some standouts include Tanabata Bamboo with mango, strawberry and cacao-infused Haku, Kintsugi consisting of banana, pineapple and coconut flavours as well as NZ Tanabata Harvest with truffle-infused Haku, pear and apple.

Certainly, cocktail combinations wouldnât be complete without food from the new Fuyu winter menu. Think authentic sushi dishes, prawn tempura, grilled seafood and meat, shared platters like Tokyo Platter, to name a few.
Excitingly, those who attend the event at MASU could win a trip to Japan for two people worth $9,500. The holiday includes six nights stay and a tour of Suntory Distillery.

Indeed, itâs the perfect place to feel as if youâve stepped into a Japanese town or village to celebrate Haku Tanabata Festival. This event takes place until the end of August. For more information, visit the MASU event on the website.
